The Place of Women in Sustainable Community Development in Africa: A Case Study of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nigeria

Abstract

Using mixed methods with a sample of 100 women in Okitipupa LGA, the study finds that despite gender inequality, funding gaps and limited education, women are instrumental in sustainable community actions and local governance. It recommends inclusive governance and expanded roles for women in development processes.
