About
Peer-reviewed, open-access scholarship advancing gender equity, development and sustainability.
The Journal of Gender, Development and Sustainability (JGDS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by the Directorate of Gender and Sustainable Development Studies, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, Nigeria. It invites well-researched, scholarly papers from academia and research communities for consideration and possible publication.
At its core, JGDS is a gender-studies journal: it examines how gender shapes access to resources, power, education, health, and justice, and how intersecting inequalities can be understood and addressed through rigorous scholarship.
It is also a sustainable-development journal: it welcomes work on environmental stewardship, climate resilience, economic inclusion, peace and conflict, and the social dimensions of development—always with attention to equity, rights, and long-term impact.
By connecting researchers, practitioners, and policy makers, JGDS aims to generate knowledge that not only advances academic debate but also supports more just and sustainable societies.
